Sow stall Egchel

A new sow farm was built in Egchel (Limburg) in 2018. 

The farrowing boxes are made with coated, balance floors. The sow can not lay on the piglets, which reduces the chance of dead piglets by overlaying.

The piglet pens are made of a complete plastic slatted floor, combined with concrete slatted floor. This classification creates a warm part (where the piglets are) and a cold part.
